THOUGHTFULLY CURATED GIFTS FOR MEN. USEFUL, STYLISH & FUN. GIFTS THAT HE CAN USE AND IN SOME CASES, YOU CAN TOO. AFTER ALL, WHAT'S HIS IS YOUR'S....RIGHT?
In the 5 years my husband (Mr.T) and I have been together, we have celebrated many significant milestones. There was the first anniversary, surprisingly followed by the second. Even more of a shock to the system, the engagement, the wedding, and after two years of marriage the birth of our son. On top of these milestone celebrations, we of course had the usual birthdays and not to mention all the Valentine day’s (although my husband is very much anti Valentine’s day).
Despite all the celebrations, and even though I’ve received so many gifts from him, the number of significant gifts I have given him over the 5 years can be counted on one hand. There was the platinum wedding band, the surprise party for his 34th birthday, and a vintage pocket watch, which he wore on our wedding day. That’s pretty much it. It’s not because I don’t want to shower him with gifts, it’s because I simply can’t find good gifts (without spending a fortune) that are worth buying for him.
Mr T. and I are not big spenders, but at the same time, we’re not adverse to buying things we like even if the price tag is a little high. If the price is high, we do the sleep test (i.e. sleep on it for a night before purchasing, and if we still wake up thinking of that thing, then BOOM, its passed, and we’ll be off out to buy it). Our purchases need to be worth our hard earned cash. The words ‘price per wear’ and longevity are often used in our household. Our purchases are considered, researched, stylish with a timeless element, and not always expensive.
As I realise I can’t quite afford the Blue Black Rolex GMT that he would love to receive for his upcoming birthday, I’ve had to search the market for alternatives with a much friendlier price tag. For us women, we’re excited by simple gifts such as a bunch of flowers, a spa voucher or a lipstick. Men unfortunately, not so easily excited (although I would be a little concerned if Mr. T was excited by the latter). Everything you see here are gifts and home accessories I’ve found searching high and low for Mr. T – items that don’t break the bank, are stylish, of great quality, useful and fun. Finds that not only he can enjoy, but in some cases, I can also. Finds I think if I were a man, I’d like to receive…. Well, if I were him anyway… ( =
